What is the difference between an off-road tour and a UTV rental?

• Tours involve driving a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) behind a guide on private, rugged trails with creek crossings and mountain overlooks.
• Rentals provide street-legal UTVs designed strictly for paved public roads to cruise scenic routes like Cades Cove or the Foothills Parkway. No off-roading is permitted with these vehicles.

What is the difference between an ATV and a UTV?

• All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are smaller, straddled like a motorcycle, and operated with handlebars.
  
  What should I wear, and will I get muddy?
• Dress in clothes and closed-toe shoes that can get dirty. Mud level is highly seasonal.
